PO Attainments

 

As seen from the figure above, a total of 12 POs (Programme outcomes) are required to achieve upon completion of the Mechatronic Engineering study at Asia Pacific University.

PO Mapping

It started counted from year 3 semester 1, and each module has a different assessment on getting each POs. Year 1 and year 2 modules were not counted towards POs as those are basic modules and do not directly reflect students’ expertise towards the engineering field.

For example, the PLC module tested the student on PO2, 3, 5, and 9; and the AICS module tested on PO1,3, and 12. The radar chart mapping has all PO attained by Tee Yik Seng, capped at Year 4 semester 1.

PO Report Card

As can be seen, all POs are achieved with full scores (1.00), except: “PO1 getting 0.67, PO2 getting 0.75 and PO3 getting 0.88”. According to the PO Mapping, taking PO3 as an example, there are 5 assessments done up to Year 4 Semester 2, so the value of 0.88 in the report card means 4 out of 5 assessments had been met.

Evaluation

Since PO 1 , 2, 3 were not achieved to the maximum, they are picked to conduct the short-term and long-term evaluations.
